Review of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children film

Saw Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children yesterday. (If you have not read the books you should. There is now a 3rd one out.) I had high hopes for it going in even with Burton at the helm. He made some needless changes that did not make something already grand better. The first half of the film was pretty faithful to the book save for Burton’s changing of the female lead which i did not see the reason for. The second half just turned into the usual Tim Burton movie which i think is now getting old. They changed the plot so much i do not see how they can do the second book. Eva Green was great to see and she did what she could with the support role of Miss Peregrine. Verdict: 5 dead cats out of 10
