Why the Blue Jays are going nowhere

I am a Jays fan by default after my Expos departed. Each year I bleed blue and white for the Jays as I do for the Leafs. After a great second half and a playoff birth last year get ready for the collapse. Rogers hired a couple of corporate flaks from Cleveland where they did not win. Rogers, despite their stock going up due to the Blue Jays run last fall, will not put out the money to resign Bautista and Encarnacion so this will be their last seasons in TO. Without them the team becomes very ordinary indeed. Donaldson can not be expected to be nearly as good as his career year last year. The starting rotation is a mix of old, young and servicable that will scare no one. Tulo is old and brittle. Expect to see Eric Wedge as manager before June as the Cleveland flaks with fire Gibbons for a slow start. The whole house of cards is about to fall. This will allow Rogers to decrease the budget and we will be back into the perpetual rebuild mode for years to come. I really hope I  am wrong.
