CBC Stops racist comments after articles

It gave these people a venue to loose their hate. Without that where will it go? The problem is that it continues under ground. I have always feared for huge swathes of Cdn society because of its inability to see indigenous peoples as fully human. I also think that these racists provide models of what we should not ever want to be. Sometimes good people need reminders of what lurks just below the surface of their civilization. As much as it pains me to read and analyze the horrible vitriol that people feel free to loose on these sites, i still see it as important to be one of the people who holds up the mirror so that perhaps some will change or work for change. Hate speech will happen no matter how we try to get rid of it. It is always better to see it in the cold light of day rather than hidden in dark places where it can fester and grow into action.
