It is pretty bad when you have the mouth piece of the banks, the Globe and Mail, saying that the Harperites latest anti-union CP back-to-work order is a bad idea. The reality is that the Tomsons, owners of the G and M and Canada's richest family, are probably privately applauding Harper's decision to protect our "fragile economy". It was pointed out in the paper the other day that Harper tells the rest of the world that Canada has one of the strongest economies in the world yet internally our "fragile' economy has to be protected. Which is it? Harper and his merry band of thugs are gutting collective bargaining so workers can't get decent wages or protect their pensions. He is bringing draconian EI rules to force capitalism's excess labour pool to be even more mobile regardless of the cost in car pollution, worker commute stress and family break-ups. He is delaying the retirement age to 67 for a portion of the population. Is this the Canada you want? If not, then get the hell out and vote the next time. Don't let 33% of the 45% (can't remember the low figures) who voted last time re-elect Harper.
